There were two more shootings this weekend – one in Burnaby early Sunday and one early Saturday in Surrey.
Early today, a bystander was shot in the leg when a man opened fired outside Revs bowling alley on Lougheed Highway in Burnaby.
Burnaby RCMP is investigating. The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.
And a 36-year-old who is “well-known” to police was dropped off at Surrey Memorial Hospital about 3 a.m. Saturday with a gunshot wound to his “lower extremities.”
“The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this incident is targeted and involves parties known to each other,” S. Sgt. Joe Johal said in a news release. “The male victim… is not
cooperating with the police investigation.”
Meanwhile Surrey RCMP is still hunting for Shakiel Basra and Amarpreet Samra, wanted on attempted murder charges for the Sept. 15 shooting outside Strawberry Hill Elementary.
I’ve heard several Metro Vancouver locations have been searched as investigators try to locate the two 21-year-old who are considered armed and dangerous.
Call 911 or the Surrey shooting tip line at 604-915-6566 if you know where they are.
