The Independent Investigations Office has been called out to a lakeside roperty near Valemount after a man was killed and a woman was injured in a police-involved shooting.
The IIO said in a news release that the shooting happened about 7 p.m. Wednesday when Emergency Response Team officers were involved in an exchange of gunfire with the male victim. A woman was also shot and is now in hospital.
