A star Crown witness at the Surrey Six trial was paid more than $425,000 by police after agreeing to help with the murder investigation, B.C. Supreme Court heard Monday.
The man, who can only be identified as Person Y due to a publication ban, signed an agreement to be a police agent in early 2008, he told prosecutor Catherine Murray.
