The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the probe into human remains that were found near the Fraser River in Abbotsford Sunday.
IHIT Sgt. Adam MacIntosh said in a release that an autopsy will be performed on the remains to determine if the case is in fact a murder.
“IHIT continues working with the Abbotsford Police Department and our priority is to determine this person’s identity and notify their next of kin,” MacIntosh said....
