Homicide investigators have taken over the probe of a double shooting in south Surrey that left one and dead and a second victim in hospital.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team arrived on the scene of the shooting in the 14300-block of Crescent Road about 8 a.m. Monday.
Surrey RCMP had been called to the location about 2: 10 a.m.
The first officers to arrive found a man nearby suffering from gunshot wounds. He later succumbed to his injuries.
The RCMP also received a call from a woman suffering from gunshot wounds who had driven herself away from the scene. She is now in hospital in serious condition.
Police said the shooting appears to be targeted, but that the investigation has just begun.
