Homicide investigators were called in Tuesday after a man’s body was found near Garden City Road in Richmond.
Richmond RCMP Cpl. Dennis Hwang said the body was discovered about 4:30 a.m. and that the death is considered suspicious and “appears targeted.”
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken conduct of this investigation, he said, providing no further details.

Meanwhile Mounties in Surrey are investigating a Cloverdale shooting that happened Sunday just before 11 a.m. in the 17200-block of 65th Avenue.
Police said an unoccupied vehicle and nearby residence were struck, though no one was injured.
around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, after multiple shots were fired at and struck a home. The suspects, who haven’t yet been identified, fled before police arrival and haven’t yet been located.
Damage was sustained to the outside and inside of the home, but there were no injuries despite there being several people inside the home following an earlier house party.
