Two Surrey residents have been convicted of attempting to smuggle ecstasy to Australia through Vancouver Airport three years ago.
Nadine Fayann Prevost, 33, and Michel Andre Tremblay, 46, were found to have almost eight kilograms of ecstasy hidden under the false bottoms of three suitcases on April 9, 2010.
They claimed to have no knowledge of the drugs, which B.C. Supreme Court Justice Gregory Fitch rejected in convicting each of exporting a controlled substance.
